About

Some weeks are just harder. More crying, more clinging, sleep that unravels for no reason you can name. Life Leaps tells you what is happening underneath, and that you did not cause it. A leap is a neurologically-driven shift in how a person perceives and processes the world. Not a new skill learned, but a reorganisation of how the brain is wired. In the weeks before each one settles, behaviour becomes unsettled. This is the stormy period, and it is not a problem to fix. It is a preview. The turbulence is the work happening. Life Leaps maps 23 of these leaps across the first thirty years of life. HOW IT WORKS Add a profile with a due date and Life Leaps places that person on the timeline straight away. You will see the leap they are in now, how far through it they are, when the next stormy period is due, and what tends to emerge on the other side. Born early or late? Enter both the due date and the actual birth date. Leap timing is calculated from the due date, because that is what the underlying research is based on. INSIDE EVERY LEAP • What is changing, in plain language • The stormy signs to expect, and why each one happens • The abilities that emerge once it passes • Practical ways to support them through it • Tips and activities suited to that exact stage FOUR PHASES, TWENTY-THREE LEAPS Infancy & Toddlerhood (0–2): from the first sensory awakening at five weeks to systems thinking at eighteen months. Childhood (2–12): symbolic language, self-will, theory of mind, conservation, moral reasoning. Adolescence (12–18): abstract thought, identity exploration, late adolescent integration. Emerging Adulthood (18–30): launching, experimentation, the quarter-life recalibration, choosing and committing. NOT ONLY FOR BABIES Development does not stop at toddlerhood. Add a profile for yourself, a teenager, or an adult, and read the same kind of map for where you actually are. Plenty of people find the leap they are standing in the middle of is their own. QUIET BY DESIGN No account. No sign-up. No server holding your child's name or dates. Profiles, notes, and progress live on your device and nowhere else. LIFE LEAPS PREMIUM The first ten leaps, covering all of infancy and toddlerhood, are free with one profile. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your device's subscription settings. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS Leap dates are estimates drawn from published developmental research. They are not a diagnosis, a milestone test, or a guarantee. Every person is different, and timing varies. Life Leaps is here to help you understand a hard week, not to measure anyone against a chart. If you are worried about your child's development, please speak to a doctor or health visitor. Terms of Use: https://lifeleapsapp.com/terms Privacy Policy: https://lifeleapsapp.com/privacyRead more
