Chapters: Tell your life story

Chapters is an app for making a family memoir. It records the stories of the people you love, transcribes what they say, and pieces everything together into a book by year, place, and person. WHAT CHAPTERS DOES Record any family member telling a story, on voice or video. Chapters transcribes the recording and files it into the right chapter of their life. Add photos, letters and keepsakes to any story. Build a family tree and open any person's book to read their whole life so far. Every family member gets their own book inside the app. Reading is free for everyone in the family. A subscription is only needed to make new recordings. HOW STORIES CONNECT Chapters reads every story as it comes in and works out when it happened, where, and who else in the family was there. A story about a town gets placed on that person's atlas for the years they lived there. Stories that share a place, year, or person link up across the family, so your grandfather's version of 1962 sits next to your grandmother's version of the same year. Chapters also notices what is missing. If a decade of a person's life has no stories in it, or if someone gets mentioned in another family member's story but has not told their own version, Chapters can ask them to fill the gap. None of this needs to be tagged or organised by hand. It happens as the stories come in.
