About
Scratch AI is a meal-planning app that starts with real life: what you want to eat, what’s already in the kitchen, and what you still need to buy. Most people don’t fail at cooking because they can’t follow a recipe. They fail because Sunday night is a blank calendar, the fridge is a mystery, and the grocery list is a guess. Scratch is built to close that loop. Plan the week. Shop from the plan. Cook what’s on the shelf. Ask for help when you’re stuck. WHAT YOU CAN DO Plan your week Build breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks around your goals and the food you actually like. Swap a meal, scale a recipe, save the week, and come back to it. When you only want a few meals instead of a full week, plan those too. Shop from the plan Scratch turns the week into a grocery list with store-size amounts — a 32 oz yogurt tub, not “some yogurt.” Items are grouped the way a store is laid out. Check things off as you walk. When you’re done, clear the shopping trip without wiping the meal plan. Cook what you already have Point the camera at the fridge or pantry. Scratch reads the shelves live and names what’s there, then suggests meals you can make with it. No typing every jar on the door. Ask the coach The AI coach remembers your goals, calories, macros, allergies, and foods you like or avoid. Ask for a high-protein lunch, a dinner from leftovers, or a swap that still hits your targets. You can type or talk. It is a cooking and nutrition helper — not a doctor, not a dietitian. Keep a library Browse about 1,000 recipes. Save the ones you cook. Build cookbooks. Import a recipe from a link. Add your own. Open a recipe and scale the ingredients when you’re cooking for two or for six. Prep once, eat all week Meal prep takes the week you already planned and turns it into a checklist: chop, cook, portion, store. Work through it on Sunday so weeknights are heating, not starting from zero. WHO IT’S FOR People who want to eat better without living in a spreadsheet. Households tired of “what’s for dinner” every night. Anyone who throws out food they forgot they bought. Home cooks who want a plan, a list, and a backup idea when the plan breaks. HOW IT GETS PERSONAL Onboarding asks what you’re trying to do, what’s been in the way, what you like to eat, and any dietary needs. That becomes memory Scratch uses across planning, grocery, fridge scan, and coach. You can edit it anytime in Settings. You can keep family members and household context so a plan for one person doesn’t look like a plan for four. WHAT YOU CAN DO
Plan your week
Build breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks around your goals and the food you actually like. Swap a meal, scale a recipe, save the week, and come back to it. When you only want a few meals instead of a full week, plan those too.
Shop from the plan
Scratch turns the week into a grocery list with store-size amounts — a 32 oz yogurt tub, not “some yogurt.” Items are grouped the way a store is laid out. Check things off as you walk. When you’re done, clear the shopping trip without wiping the meal plan.
Cook what you already have
Point the camera at the fridge or pantry. Scratch reads the shelves live and names what’s there, then suggests meals you can make with it. No typing every jar on the door.
Ask the coach
The AI coach remembers your goals, calories, macros, allergies, and foods you like or avoid. Ask for a high-protein lunch, a dinner from leftovers, or a swap that still hits your targets. You can type or talk. It is a cooking and nutrition helper — not a doctor, not a dietitian.
Keep a library
Browse about 1,000 recipes. Save the ones you cook. Build cookbooks. Import a recipe from a link. Add your own. Open a recipe and scale the ingredients when you’re cooking for two or for six.
Prep once, eat all week
Meal prep takes the week you already planned and turns it into a checklist: chop, cook, portion, store. Work through it on Sunday so weeknights are heating, not starting from zero.
WHO IT’S FOR
People who want to eat better without living in a spreadsheet.
Households tired of “what’s for dinner” every night.
Anyone who throws out food they forgot they bought.
Home cooks who want a plan, a list, and a backup idea when the plan breaks.
HOW IT GETS PERSONAL
Onboarding asks what you’re trying to do, what’s been in the way, what you like to eat, and any dietary needs. That becomes memory Scratch uses across planning, grocery, fridge scan, and coach. You can edit it anytime in Settings.
You can keep family members and household context so a plan for one person doesn’t look like a plan for four.
