KR Maps Journeys

KR Maps Journeys finds the trips in your photos and puts them on a map. Not just any map: scan the code on your KR Maps push-pin map and the app shows that same print, so the pins on your phone match the pins on your wall. There's nothing to type and nothing to sort. The app reads the date and place your camera saved with each photo, works out where home was, and gathers the rest into journeys: a week in Portugal, a long weekend in the mountains, the road trip in 2019. YOUR MAP Every journey is a pin on your map. Scan the QR code on your KR Maps print and the app draws your pins on that print's own artwork: Heartstrings, Executive, Muted Tones, Solterra or Slated Earth, world or USA. No print yet? The street map works just as well. YOUR JOURNEYS Open a journey and read it like a page: day by day, each part named for what it was of, the temple, the beach, the market. Give a trip a title, write a note, caption a photo, hide a trip that wasn't one, or join two that belong together. Tap Play and the map flies the route as a short film while the photos go by. YOUR PINS Photograph the pins on your wall map and the app finds them, colors and all, and puts each one on your map. Placed a pin somewhere you haven't been yet? Keep it as a place you want to go. YOUR STATS The countries and states you've been to, filled in on a map. How far you've traveled in miles, the farthest you've been from home, the places you've stopped, and how your homes have moved over the years. YOUR BOOK Choose the photos from a journey and KR Maps makes them into a printed travel book, laid out from the trip itself, with your titles, notes and captions. The book is ordered on krmaps.com; the app hands your photos over when you're ready. SHARE Send journeys straight to a phone nearby over the Wi-Fi you share, or send them as a file to anyone, and receive theirs. Photos kept only in the cloud can be brought in too. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your photos stay on your phone unless you send them yourself: to make a book, to have the pins on your wall read, to a phone nearby, or as a file.
