About

Podcast Sleep Aid is a podcast application built for falling asleep while listening, and for handling those wake-ups in the middle of the night. In most applications the sleep timer is an option you have to switch on every time. Here, a sleep timer is set on every playback. Playback always ends on its own, with a gentle fade. You can see at a glance what you will hear before it stops: the covered part is tinted in orange on the progress bar. WHEN YOU WAKE UP AT NIGHT You start playback again, and a soft voice confirms the sleep timer has been set again. No need to open your eyes to check, and no sound running into the void until morning. When you wake up, playback resumes slightly before the point where you dozed off, so you catch the last minutes you never heard. Duration, fades, wake-up rewind: everything is adjustable, once and for all. TRULY OFFLINE Episodes download to the device and play with no network at all: on a plane, underground, at the end of the garden. Per-podcast rules decide what gets downloaded and what is kept: the last ten episodes, the last month, above a certain length, excluding a word in the title. TONIGHT A regularly refreshed selection of podcasts that help you fall asleep: nature sounds, stories, quiet music, each with the editor's note. MY NIGHT A summary of what you listened to overnight, during naps and through the day. Off by default. This stays on your device and goes to no server, other than your own iCloud account if you choose to enable it. COMPLETELY FREE No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no personal data collection, no tracking. KEY FEATURES • A sleep timer set on every playback, adjustable • Spoken confirmation when you start again at night • Wake-up rewind so you catch the last minutes • Fade-in and fade-out • Countdown on the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island and the Home Screen • "Hey Siri, start listening with Podcast Sleep Aid" • Automatic downloads and retention, adjustable per podcast • Fully offline listening, queue included • Playback positions remembered per episode • "Tonight" editorial selection, regularly refreshed • Private "My Night" journal, optional • Optional iCloud sync, on your own account • OPML import and export, Apple Podcasts and Podcast Index search • Chapters, playback speed, audio spectrum, dark or light appearance PRIVACY No data collection, no tracking, no ad SDKs.
