About
Felek is a symbol library and a field guide to Turkish coffee cup reading: 85 symbols, what each one has traditionally meant, how it tends to read (a good sign, a warning, or something that cuts both ways), how often it turns up, and which part of the cup it favors, the handle, the rim, the bottom. Tap any symbol for its full entry, or work through the whole library on your own. THE TRADITION Turkish coffee culture has been on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013, and the reading of the cup has always been part of it. Felek's Tradition section cites six sources: UNESCO's own listing, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ayvazoglu's illustrated history of Turkish coffee culture, Korkman's Duke University Press ethnography of the practice, the Pera Museum's Ottoman coffee collection, and BBC Travel's reporting on it. For centuries this has been less about telling what comes next than about women talking to each other sideways, through birds and roads and mountains in the grounds. THE RITUAL A guided walk through each step, from the first pour to the final flip: brew the coffee, drink it down, make a wish, swirl the cup, turn it over onto the saucer. A timer covers the wait, with gentle prompts along the way, so you learn the sequence the way a Turkish grandmother would teach it, not just the words for it. YOUR JOURNAL Every cup you read is saved. Look back over weeks and months and watch the small, ordinary patterns of your own life turn up again. Once the library and the tradition feel familiar, try it on a cup of your own. Photograph the grounds and Felek reads what it sees, using the same vocabulary you just learned: where the cup sits heavy, where it runs clear, and what those shapes have carried in the tradition. Plain and specific, not a riddle. It's built for the curious, people who want to actually learn what the shapes mean, rather than get a verdict. The reading is offered for reflection and entertainment, a mirror held up to the day, nothing more.Read more

THE TRADITION
Turkish coffee culture has been on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013, and the reading of the cup has always been part of it. THE RITUAL
A guided walk through each step, from the first pour to the final flip: brew the coffee, drink it down, make a wish, swirl the cup, turn it over onto the saucer. A timer covers the wait, with gentle prompts along the way, so you learn the sequence the way a Turkish grandmother would teach it, not just the words for it.
YOUR JOURNAL
Every cup you read is saved.
The reading is offered for reflection and entertainment, a mirror held up to the day, nothing more.

Three readings at once. You can now buy three full readings together. One opens the cup in front of you, and the other two stay on this phone for your next cups. They never expire. If you already have readings left, the full reading screen offers one of those first, so you never pay twice for the same thing. If a paid reading is interrupted, it arrives the next time you open the app instead of being lost. Also fixed: Contact support always gives you the address, even without a mail app, the Terms and Privacy Policy links always open, and the Settings screen has its margins back.
