About

Okla helps Native Americans find assistance programs they qualify for from tribes, organizations, nonprofits and federal government all in one place, without an account and without an internet connection. Pick a category of help needed, choose your tribe, and add a ZIP code. Okla sorts programs into Best Matches, programs that may fit, and ones worth checking and says plainly when a service area couldn't be confirmed. Every listing gives plain-language eligibility, contact information, how to apply, and a link to the provider's own page so you can find it easily. WHAT'S INSIDE • Programs across 16 categories: Medical, Dental, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Housing, Financial Assistance, Food, Utilities, Education, Employment, Child Care, Youth Programs, Elder Care, Veterans, Legal and more • Listings from tribal nations including Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Osage, Comanche, Kiowa and others in Oklahoma, plus Navajo Nation, Gila River, Standing Rock, Fort Peck, Eastern Band of Cherokee and Mississippi Band of Choctaw with more being added all the time. • Urban Indian organizations in Chicago, Denver, Phoenix and the San Francisco Bay Area • Scholarships and national programs open to Native students and families HOW IT WORKS • Works offline. The full catalog is on your phone, so browsing and matching work in airplane mode, on a reservation with no signal, or anywhere else. • Private by design. Your tribe and ZIP code stay in memory on your device and are never saved or sent anywhere. No account & no tracking you. • You can select any of the 575 federally recognized tribes. Tribes whose programs haven't been researched yet still see the cross-tribal and open-to-all programs they may qualify for. • ZIP-based service-area matching currently covers Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas and Montana. Elsewhere, Okla shows programs to check rather than confirmed matches. HOW THE DATA IS BUILT Each listing is researched by hand from the provider's official website and application materials, and carries the date it was last checked. Programs change, and the provider always makes the final eligibility decision confirm details with them before you apply. See a mistake? Every listing has a "Report a problem" link. Okla is an independent project for Native Americans by a Native American developer. It is not affiliated with any tribal government, the Indian Health Service, or any government agency. I just want to help.Read more
