Orbit Music

Orbit is a music player for the collection you actually own. Your 1975 original pressing is not your 2015 remaster. Karajan's Fifth is not Furtwängler's. The cartridge you ripped with matters. Most players flatten all of that into one row in a list. Orbit keeps it. Orbit is the client for Orbit Server — free, self-hosted, running on your own machine. Your files stay on your hardware. A LIBRARY THAT KNOWS WHAT IT IS • Every version of an album kept separately — original press, reissue, MoFi, SACD, your own vinyl rip — with the one you prefer marked as such • Vinyl detail: label, catalogue and matrix numbers, pressing year and country, condition, and the full equipment chain used for the rip • Classical done properly: composer, work, movement, performance — not artist and album • Metadata from MusicBrainz, Discogs and OpenOpus • Search across albums, artists, works, genres and tags SOUND, UNGATED • Bit-perfect playback of FLAC, ALAC, WAV, DSD, APE and WavPack • Hi-res is not a paid feature. It works on the free tier, at home, at full quality • Gapless playback, replay gain, and honest format, bit-depth and sample-rate reporting ON EVERY SCREEN YOU OWN iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch. One app, one subscription, Family Sharing included. WHAT'S FREE • Your whole library: albums, artists, genres, tags, plus the classical and vinyl views • Playback across your home network at full quality, including DSD • Lock screen, Control Center and AirPlay • Apple Watch as a remote • Home-screen album widgets • Queue, up next and play history • Mac browsing and playback through the system mixer • One connected server WHAT ORBIT PRO ADDS • Remote access — reach your server from anywhere over the Orbit Cloud relay. Pair by scanning a code: no port forwarding, no VPN, no static IP • Offline downloads on iPhone and Apple Watch • Apple TV app and CarPlay • Apple Watch standalone playback • Editorial mode — Magazine, Poster and Discovery layouts, Rediscover, On This Day, Genre Exploration • Music Dimensions — a Sound Profile radar for every release, your own taste profile, and similar-sound recommendations • Exclusive mode on Mac: CoreAudio output straight to your DAC, with sample-rate switching • Gapless override and replay-gain choice • Multi-server switching between home and studio • Encrypted cloud backup of your library metadata — ratings, tags, vinyl details, playlists • Siri: "play something I like on Orbit" • Alternate app icons WHAT YOU NEED Orbit connects to an Orbit Server on your own machine — free, self-hosted, and available for Linux, macOS and Docker. Orbit does not sell or stream music; it plays the library you already have. ORBIT PRO A monthly or annual subscription; the annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and the price for your country is shown in the app. One subscription covers iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch, and works with Family Sharing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. No ads. No tracking. Nothing about your library leaves your hardware unless you turn on a feature that needs it. Terms of Use: https://cosmique.io/apps/orbit/terms/ Privacy Policy: https://cosmique.io/apps/orbit/privacy/
