About

Slicks is a kart telemetry app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It opens the XRK and XRZ files your AiM logger records, MyChron included, and shows the sectors, the corners and the numbers your tuner asks about, in the first ninety seconds after a session. No AiM software, no Windows laptop, no signal needed. NINETY SECONDS BETWEEN HEATS Between heats there is no time to study a chart. Slicks opens on the numbers that decide what to change next, worked out from the file on the device itself. • Sectors. Every lap split into 2 to 10 equal-distance sectors against the session's best in each, and the theoretical best they add up to. • Where the time went. The corners that cost the most against your fastest lap, ranked, with the seconds, the speed and the metres behind each. • Engine. Peak RPM, exhaust and water temperatures against the window your tuner gave you, spelled out in words as well as colour. Presets for Rotax, IAME X30 and KA100, Vortex Rok GP and Yamaha KT100. TWO LAPS, ONE LINE Pick a reference lap and another. Slicks lays their speed traces over each other, draws the time gained or lost along the way, and walks a cursor round the map as you scrub. On iPad and Mac, any logged channel is drawn under the delta on the same distance line. THE TRACK, AS YOU DROVE IT Every session draws its laps over the real track on a map. Colour the line by speed, by a reading the GPS works out on its own (lateral and longitudinal g, heading, altitude, slope), or by any channel the logger recorded, and read one lap at a time. Slicks reads the track from the lap itself, so it works at any circuit. ONE LIBRARY, EVERY DEVICE Import on the Mac, read on the phone in the paddock, compare on the iPad at home. Sign in with Apple or Google and sessions sync through your account; everything above the lap list works with no signal at all. Share a session by link when you want a coach to see it, and revoke the link when you do not. The file itself never leaves your account. BRING YOUR OWN FILES Drop XRK or XRZ files on the Mac app, open them from Files on iPad and iPhone, or AirDrop them from the laptop that pulled them off the logger. Each session lands with its track, driver and date read from the file, and asks what changed on the kart (gearing, pressures, carb, axle, track width, caster, new tires) before the numbers get a chance to bias you. Notes, session type and setup stay with the session. ON THE MAC A sidebar of sessions grouped by weekend, a detail pane with Summary, Track, Laps and Channels, and an inspector with notes, setup, sharing and every channel's range. Chart any channel against time or distance, or one channel across every timed lap, and hover for the reading. THE SPECIFICS • Files: XRK and XRZ, as AiM loggers write them, parsed on the device. • Sectors: 2 to 10 per lap, equal distance, against the session's best. • Overlays: speed, GPS-derived readings, any logged channel. • Compare: two laps, speed overlay, time delta, a cursor linked to the map. • Engine: peak RPM, exhaust and water temperatures against your tuner's window. • Sync: every device you sign in on; the summary works offline. • Sharing: one session by link, revocable; the file never leaves your account. • Units: km/h or mph, °C or °F, on every reading. • Privacy: sessions are private to your account. No advertising, no third-party analytics. Getting the file off the logger still happens with AiM's own tools, and configuring the logger stays with AiM's software. Slicks is for reading what it recorded. Requires iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26. Slicks is made by Pineapple Technologies Inc. and is not affiliated with AiM Tech. AiM, MyChron and RaceStudio are trademarks of their respective owner.Read more
