About
Mapn is a map of the places you've been -- and a way to see where the people you trust have been. Drop a pin on somewhere you went. Add a note about why it mattered, a photo, a date. Your map fills in as you travel, and every pin is yours to keep private or share. WHAT IT'S FOR Blog your travel. Pin the places you've been and why each one mattered. It's a digital passport you can share, or keep to yourself. Follow your friends. Their pins land on your map as they travel, so you can tag along on their adventures. Curated recommendations. Find places your circle actually recommends, not strangers on the internet. HOW IT WORKS - Tap the globe to swap your map between your own pins and everywhere your friends have been - Filter to one category, or to one person - Search places, pins and people from one field - Memory Lane reads the dates and locations already in your photos to suggest trips you never got around to pinning - Your passport fills in as you go, with a moment for each new country - Comment on a friend's pin, mention someone, or just tap the heart PRIVATE BY DEFAULT WHERE IT COUNTS No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Mapn contains no advertising or analytics SDK, and nothing follows you across other apps. Memory Lane runs entirely on your device -- your photo library is never uploaded. The only photos that leave your phone are the ones you choose to attach to a pin. Set your account to private and only followers you approve can see your pins. Block or report anyone, from the menu on their pin, comment or profile. Location is used only while the app is open, to center the map and suggest nearby places. No background location. No movement tracking. Sign in with Apple, or with an email address. Delete your account and everything in it from Settings, whenever you like.Read more

Open the United States on your globe to see the states you've been to, with a states count alongside your countries. A fresh look. A new app icon, a color emoji for every kind of place -- on the map, in your feed and in search -- and new-country cards that turn the globe to face the country you just added. Also in th…
- Version 1.2Update · 26 Sept 2026
What's new in 1.2 Your passport is now a globe. Spin it to see every country you've pinned light up, tap a country to jump straight to your pins there, and see friends' globes on their profiles too. Personal pins. Flip the new "Personal" switch when you pin a place and it's just for you -- it won't appear in anyone's feed, map or view of your profile. Sharper place categories. Pins now say what kind of place they are -- Mexican Restaurant, Scenic Lookout, Baseball Stadium -- with matching icons on the map. Popular Spots now weighs how much people loved a place, not just how many went. Als…
- Version 1.1First seen · 25 Sept 2026
What's new in 1.1 - See who liked a pin right from your feed; just tap the like count. And see who celebrated when a friend reached a new country. - Blocking now works everywhere. A blocked account's pin disappears from your feed and map, not just their profile. - Fixed a bug where some active accounts showed up as "Deleted account". Pins and comments from accounts that really are deleted are now labeled correctly. - Deleting your account is now more thorough, and removes the comments and likes you left on other people's pins too. - Places without a street address no longer show a stray comma…
