iRhyme: Sound-Rhyme Primer

iRhyme is an offline sound-rhyme studio for classical Chinese. It is not another page-turning ebook. It shows how a couplet grows by length, lets you hear a line, and helps you practice pairing across Sheng Lu Qi Meng, Li Weng Dui Yun, Qian Jia Shi, and You Xue Qiong Lin. The library has about 312 passages: 30 rhyme sections each for the two couplet primers, about 219 poems, and about 33 You Xue topics, plus about 120 famous pairs, 93 allusions, and 127 authors. Texts are built in. No account. No download wait. No network needed for the books. Sheng Lu Qi Meng trains pairing from one character to a long line across thirty Pingshui rhymes. Li Weng Dui Yun uses the same rhymes with a freer hand, so you can compare two writings of one rhyme. Qian Jia Shi returns that rhythm to whole poems. You Xue Qiong Lin is a classified primer you open as an index. Daily Rhyme starts the day on a large card. You can set a local reminder, use a seasonal pick, keep a streak, and return via Continue Reading. Home shortcuts can open compare, recitation, famous pairs, Studio, Pair Hunt, handwriting search, or the prosody guide. 1. Layered couplets Pairs from 1 to 11 characters sit line beside line, with optional study English under the pair. That English is a gloss for words and allusions, not a literary translation. Tone coloring marks level and oblique. Same-rhyme compare places Che Wanyu beside Li Yu. 2. Three readers Couplet cards can sit side by side or stacked. Poems and primer entries place Chinese first. Vernacular, English, pinyin, vertical text, and centered lines each have a switch. The UI can be Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, or English, while source glyphs can stay Traditional. What you see and what you hear can differ. Long passages page by section. Immersive mode hides chrome. You can write notes, save favorites, open shared allusions, use on-device explanation when the system allows, and export share cards to Photos. 3. Recitation The current section highlights as it is spoken. Pace, pitch, and volume adjust. You can play through silent mode, play continuously, keep audio in the background, and keep the screen awake. Lock Screen and Live Activities can show the line when the system allows. 4. Studio Fade, fill-in, chant test, quiz, and pair matching. Fade and quiz update mastery. Lists and favorites can enter Studio as a batch. Pair Hunt on Home is a short keyword game. 5. Browse and search Browse by book, rhyme, verse form, volume, author, and famous pairs. List, grid, or cards. Long-press to copy, save, recite, or drill. Search titles and lines in Chinese or English. Write a character by hand on iPad. Spotlight is optional and off by default. 6. Lists Favorites, rhyme lists, notes, history, and mastered titles. Reset clears mastery and the streak, not your lists. Optional iCloud sync stays between your own devices. 7. Widgets Daily Rhyme, famous pairs, progress, and favorites on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, plus StandBy.
