About
Most pool apps hand you a wall of numbers and a red or green face. PoolLevels works out the saturation index the way a water chemist would, tells you whether the water is corrosive, balanced or scaling, and gives you a single dose sized for your pool, with the arithmetic printed underneath so you can check it yourself. WHAT IT DOES Reads a test strip from a photo. Lay the strip on white paper in the shade and take the picture. The app finds the strip on its own and reads every pad. A 7-in-1 and a 4-pad strip are told apart from the photo, not from a setting. Each pad's colour sits beside the chart colour it matched, and any pad the app cannot place is flagged so you can see which numbers to trust. Real carbonate chemistry. The saturation index from pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid and water temperature, using the Plummer and Busenberg carbonate equilibria and Davies activity coefficients. Cyanuric acid is not quietly treated as zero: leaving it out moved a real sample by 0.18 and flipped its verdict from corrosive to balanced, so a missing reading suppresses the verdict instead of guessing. One thing to add, not a list. The dose is sized for your pool's actual gallons, rounded to a precision you can pour, and the working is shown. Always half first, circulate, retest, then the rest. It is easy to add more and very hard to take any out. Your whole history. Every test you save is kept, so you can see what the water has been doing rather than just what it is doing today. Dissolved solids, if you have them. No strip reports TDS, but a store printout does. Enter it and the index uses your number instead of an assumption. It is not cosmetic: on one real pool the difference between the assumed figure and the measured one was the difference between "add 46 fl oz of acid" and "nothing to add". WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account. No sign in. No advertising. Your readings, your pool and your strip photos are stored on your device and nowhere else. The app sends anonymous usage events, such as that a strip was read or the upgrade screen was opened, with no readings, no photos and no location. Purchases go through Google Play. A strip read is a first look, not a lab result. It comes from matching each pad to the printed colour chart, corrected where that kind of strip has been checked against store tests. A store printout or a drop kit is still the reference, and typing those numbers in is where the chemistry is at its most reliable. It is not a substitute for reading the label on the product you are actually using. Concentrations differ between brands and the label wins. Never mix pool chemicals. Always add acid to water, never water to acid. PRICING Typing your readings in is free and unlimited, forever, including the full chemistry, the dosing and your history. Reading a strip from a photo is free for the first five scans. After that, PoolLevels Pro is 4.99 USD a month or 41.99 USD a year and covers unlimited scans. Cancel any time in your Google Play subscriptions. Terms: https://poollevels.com/terms Privacy: https://poollevels.com/privacyRead more

More accurate acid doses. When pH is high, PoolLevels now works out the acid from your water's own alkalinity and stabilizer instead of a one-size rule, so it brings pH to 7.5 without overshooting. Most doses are smaller than before.
