NEVER A GUESS Every puzzle is rated by a technique solver and has exactly one solution. You never need to guess. If you are stuck, there is a step of logic you have not found yet. HINTS THAT TEACH Stuck? A hint shows you where to look and why, then marks the cells. It gives you the answer only if you ask. TOOLS THAT STAY OUT OF THE WAY • Pencil marks that clear themselves when you ink that numeral in the same row, column or box. • Undo, always free. Erase any numeral you placed. • A wrong numeral flashes red and does not stay. The mistake counter keeps an honest score. THE LEDGER Solve a puzzle and Captain Kaelen reads the ledger: your time, mistakes and hints, your best time on that level, games solved, your run of perfect games, and your best run.
