Underneath - Food Scanner

Know what is really in your food. Underneath scans any grocery barcode and gives you one clear score from 0 to 100, so you can tell in seconds whether a product is worth putting in your cart. No jargon, no guessing, no marketing spin. Most food apps score almost entirely on nutrition. Underneath looks deeper. It weighs how processed a product is and what additives it hides first, then factors in the nutrition. A snack can carry a bold protein claim on the front and still be ultra processed underneath. Underneath sees through that. HOW THE SCORE WORKS Every product is rated on three things: - Additives and their risk level - How processed the food is, anchored to the NOVA classification - Nutritional quality These combine into a single honest score, plus a full breakdown soyou can see exactly why a product landed where it did. Tap any result to read the receipt. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Scan a barcode and get an instant score - See a clear breakdown of additives, processing, and nutrition - Read plain language explanations of the additives in your food, including which ones carry health flags - Get cleaner swaps when a product scores poorly, matched to your region - Snap a photo of the ingredients label when a barcode is not in the database and let Underneath read it for you - Search products by name - Keep a history of everything you have scanned *ALL THOSE FEATURES COME WITH UNDERNEATH PLUS* BUILT TO BE HONEST -Underneath refuses to inflate scores. If the data is thin, it tells you rather than pretending. If a product is clean, it says so. The goal is simple. Help you make a better choice at the shelf in the time it takes to scan. Whether you are cutting ultra processed foods, avoiding certain additives, watching sugar, or just want to eat a little cleaner, Underneath gives you the truth about what you are buying. Scan. See underneath. Choose better.
