Barcode Info: Origin & Check

Point your camera at any barcode and see what it actually encodes. No ads, no sign-up, and scanning works with no connection at all. Barcode Info identifies the code type, verifies the check digit, and tells you where the product's barcode was registered. Scan a QR code and it classifies the content: link, Wi-Fi network, contact card, email, phone number, and more. Scan a shipping label and it reads the fields the label carries. Barcode Info says so, plainly, instead of pretending otherwise. In-store and company-internal codes are labelled as such rather than mapped to a misleading country. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Scanning and everything the app works out from a code happen on your phone. No accounts, no ads, and nothing is collected by us. The app goes online to buy or restore Premium through Google Play. Barcodes are recognised by Google's ML Kit, which runs on the phone and sends Google usage metrics such as the device model and app version, never your camera images or what your codes say. Your scan history and photos stay on your device: backups to the cloud are switched off on purpose, and they are deleted when you delete the app.
