Everybody Out: Animal Escape

Everybody Out is a one-thumb puzzle. Mice, chickens, rabbits and hedgehogs sit on a small floor, each facing a direction. Tap one and it runs the way its nose points until something stops it. If it can't run, it turns a quarter clockwise. Get everybody out through the holes in the walls in as few taps as you can. The house is not on your side. A sleeping cat catches anyone who stops beside her. A fox catches anyone who stops in his line of sight. Traps snap. A prowling cat takes a step toward you after every tap. In the wood, a fire spreads. • The pantry, the kitchen, the coop, the wood: one idea per room, a twist halfway through each episode, and a short film at either end. • Today's room: one new board a day, the same for everybody, and a streak for every day you win it. • Three stars per room. The fewest taps wins the room; take every crumb of cheese for the third star. • Endless: fresh boards for ever, every one checked so it has an answer and is never trivial. • Undo as much as you like.
