About

On the surface, the world is at peace. The prefectures and towns are bustling with commerce, their streets teeming with activity, and all industries thriving. Yet, beneath this tranquility, murders, disappearances, old grudges, and family secrets never truly cease. Hidden within the grand mansions lie unspeakable truths, and amidst the whispers of the streets, rumors are shrouded in half-truths. Many seemingly bizarre cases are not the work of ghosts or spirits, but rather the result of a distorted human heart. You will play the protagonist, Qingqing. She comes from an ordinary background, yet possesses an innate keen eye—skilled in examining injuries and corpses, able to reconstruct the truth from wounds, traces, and minute details. However, in this era that emphasizes etiquette and propriety, women are not supposed to handle corpses, investigate cases, or appear in public. Even with her genuine abilities, Qingqing constantly navigates a path of skepticism, disdain, and criticism. An extraordinary transfer order summons her to the prefecture to assist in the investigation. On the surface, it was because of her exceptional autopsy skills; the prefecture lacked someone capable of finding genuine clues from corpses. But secretly, this transfer order was not so simple. Years ago, a cold case was forcibly suppressed in the prefecture; those involved were either dead or missing, the files were incomplete, and the truth remained buried for years. Qingqing was not chosen as the coroner by chance—her background and that cold case held an unspoken connection. Beside her was a jet-black cat named Xiao Xuanzi. It wasn't some mythical beast, but it possessed extraordinary intelligence, with an unusual sensitivity to smells, unusual sounds, and hidden objects. It often noticed details that were easily overlooked; and in many silent moments that no one else could understand, it was always there quietly by Qingqing's side. A female coroner and her black cat travel between inns, restaurants, mortuaries, secluded mansions, opera troupes, mountain villages, and government offices, examining corpses, collecting evidence, scrutinizing testimonies, and piecing together the truth. As cases are solved, Qingqing gradually discovers that what she believes is seeking justice for others is actually bringing her closer to her own origins. Some want her to continue investigating, hoping she will uncover a long-buried case; others fear she knows too much, preferring that more truths remain buried in files and remains. This is a world where "all strange things can be investigated, ghosts and spirits are determined by people, and the most difficult thing to test is the human heart." Qingqing's task is not only to speak for the dead, but also to earn a place for herself in the investigation amidst accusations of "how can this be?" 🧩 Unique Gameplay: Synthesize to Find Clues Through the "Synthesize Orders" mechanism, combine scattered items in pairs to unlock key evidence, letters, and lost items. From the foreign objects removed from the victim to the scraps of cloth in the corner of the inn; from the hairpin left behind backstage at the opera troupe to the missing page in the official case file—every piece of the assembled item could point to the killer's motive and method. Can you piece together the truth, or let the crucial clues remain dormant forever?Read more
