About
Court is a chess puzzle with no opponent. You get a board and a handful of chess pieces. Your job is to find the one place each of them can stand. THE RULES • Place exactly one piece in each colored region, using the pieces in your tray. • No piece may attack another piece. • No piece may attack a home. • Every other empty square must be attacked by at least one piece. Pieces move and attack just as they do in chess: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight and Pawn. Walls block the lines. The pull between staying clear of the homes and covering the whole board is the puzzle. PURE DEDUCTION Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you can always reason your way to it. You never have to guess. OVER 1,000 PUZZLES • Easy, Medium and Hard ladders, from small warm-up boards to 8×8 • Three short lessons teach the rules • Earn up to three stars on every level: solve it, lose no hearts, use no hints • Replay any level to chase a better time A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY The Daily Challenge opens after your first 15 puzzles and brings a new board every day. Missed one? Catch up from the calendar. HINTS THAT TEACH Stuck? A hint doesn't just show you the answer. It walks you through the reasoning, one step at a time, right on the board. TAKE YOUR TIME • No countdown clock • Memo marks, so you can note your deductions on the board • Undo and restart whenever you like • Relaxing music and sound, with separate volume controls • Optional sign-in keeps your progress on all your devices Court is free to play, with ads and optional in-app purchases.Read more
