Do light and night sound too similar? L & N Pro helps you practise hearing and saying the difference in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. All 59 word pairs are included from the first launch, with no in-app purchase or subscription. LISTEN FIRST Choose a word pair and a round of 3, 5 or 7 words. Tap what you heard in order, then check each answer. Tap a pair to hear both words back to back, or hold it to keep repeating until you tap Stop. Playback indicators keep the controls in place. SAY ONE WORD Listen to the model, record your attempt and see what the recognizer heard. Feedback explains the sound cues behind the result. Recording, scoring and retry controls stay in the same position. Short-word checks reject unrelated transcripts; if online recognition cannot identify a word, the app shows your waveform without guessing a pronunciation score. REPLAY YOUR TAKES Hear a saved recording on its own or after the model. History loads older attempts as you scroll. Recordings and practice history stay on your device, subject to available storage. Save failures are explained; clearing app data removes saved takes, and there is no cloud recording backup. Update in place to preserve your history. A new take is sent over HTTPS for transcription, then discarded from the service. Listening and lessons remain available without online recognition.
