Tabifuda - Travel Phrasebook

When you can't find the words on a trip to Korea, show your screen instead. Tabifuda is a point-and-show travel phrasebook. It shows 200 phrases in Korean, English, Taiwanese Mandarin (Traditional Chinese) and Chinese (Simplified) on large cards, and the other person can tap a reply or type a number on a keypad. The built-in phrases work offline. No ads and no account needed. ■ Show ・Shows the phrase in the other person's language as large as the screen allows ・Brightens the screen and keeps it from auto-locking while you show it ・Turns just the card 180° for someone across a counter or table ・Choose yellow, white or black cards ■ They answer with a tap ・Reply options such as "yes / no" appear large in their language ・For phrases that ask how much or what time, they can type the number on a keypad ■ Fill in places, numbers and times ・Add a destination to "How much is it to ___?" and the sentence is built in that language ・Numbers of people and times follow each language's way of counting, like 두 명 in Korean or 兩位 in Taiwanese Mandarin ・Foods you're allergic to and parts of the body are filled in just by choosing them ■ Read aloud ・Reads phrases aloud in the other person's language at three speeds: slow, normal and fast ・The word being read is underlined as it goes ■ Your own phrases ・Translate a phrase that isn't in the list with Apple's on-device translation and make it a card ・A translation back into Japanese shows how it will come across ・Once the language data is downloaded, you can translate offline while traveling ■ 9 situations, 200 phrases Basics, airport, transport, hotel, restaurant, shopping, sightseeing, trouble and medical. Taiwanese Mandarin uses the wording used in Taiwan (計程車, 捷運), and Simplified Chinese uses the wording of mainland China (出租车, 地铁). ■ Trouble and medical at the top The trouble and medical situations sit at the top of the home screen. Medical phrases help you describe symptoms and circumstances; they are not diagnosis or treatment advice. In an emergency, call the local emergency number (Settings lists the numbers for each destination). ■ Standard features and Plus Standard features: all 4 languages, every phrase for basics, trouble and medical, the most-used phrases for the other situations (86 phrases), and up to 5 of your own phrases With Plus, you can use all 200 phrases and any number of your own phrases, including phrases added in the future.
