Setout GridLab is a coordinate and grid tool designed for construction site layout and surveying. It enables surveyors, civil engineers, and field technicians to manage control points, calculate bearings and distances, and determine point-to-line offsets directly on their smartphones—eliminating the need to juggle blueprints and calculators. **Point Management** Input control points, target points, equipment locations, and offset points. Each entry stores Easting, Northing, elevation, grid ID, and notes, with clear categorization for easy reference. **Distance & Bearing** Automatically calculate horizontal distance and bearing between any two points. Bearings are displayed in Degrees (°), Minutes (′), and Seconds (″) format, ready to be copied directly into layout records. **Grid Axes** Establish horizontal and vertical grid axes to locate points relative to the grid, making it more intuitive to find axis intersections on-site. **Point-to-Line Offset** Input the endpoints of a line and the target point to automatically calculate the chainage (distance along the axis) and perpendicular offset, determining whether the point is off-center and by how much. **Layout Records** Keep a log of every stakeout or layout task—including point name, reference axis, date, tolerance (mm), and pass/fail status—for easy retrieval during inspections. **Grid View** Visualize all points on a grid map; simply tap a point to view its coordinates without flipping through data tables. **Offline Capability** Data is stored locally on your device, ensuring that poor signal in basements or remote corners of the site does not disrupt data entry or calculations.
