About
You are driving a road at night. The car drives itself. All you do is watch the road ahead and the rear-view mirror. When a fork comes, you choose left or right. If you saw it, go the other way. ■ HOW TO PLAY Before each fork a sign appears, pointing down one road only. - Saw something wrong → go against the sign - Saw nothing → follow the sign When the night shows you a vision, the sign is a lie. The wrong road is barred. Once the striped boards come out of the fog, it is already too late. Beyond them, the road ends at a cliff. Choose nothing, and the car drifts to the middle and hits the stone marker at the fork. ■ SCENERY OR ANOMALY? A vending machine, a bus stop, a stone statue by the road, a curve mirror, an owl on a pole, a cat or a deer crossing, an oncoming car. These are just the night. A woman in white standing on the verge. A faceless man in a suit. A child in the middle of the road. A figure running alongside the car. A face in the mirror, from the back seat. A handprint on the inside of the windscreen. Something not human. Something impossible. Whether they are spirits or hallucinations, nobody knows. Nearly 30 kinds of anomaly wait for you: ahead, in the trees, on the tunnel ceiling, out on the sea, and in the rear-view mirror. Hold the mirror to look closer. What you need to see is usually behind you. ■ FIVE COURSES - Moonlit Mountain Road Pass, forest, tunnel. Seven forks, and the night ends. - Night Road in a Thunderstorm Neither the rain nor the thunder lets up. Some things can only be seen in a flash of lightning. Eight forks. - Dark Road in a Blizzard Visibility of a few metres. Footprints that stop in the snow, and something coming up the oncoming lane. Nine forks. - The Deep Tunnel Inside the tunnel from beginning to end. You do not surface until it is over. Ten forks. - The Endless Night Run Every fork breaks the brakes a little more, and the car keeps getting faster. Only the rare red sign leads out of the night. Clear a course to unlock the next. ■ AFTER THE FALL When you go over the cliff, you learn what you missed on that stretch and which way the sign was pointing. Next time you won't miss it. So you start the engine again: one short night, over and over. ■ FEATURES - A 3D night road seen from the driver's seat: mountain passes, forests, coast roads, open fields and tunnels - Simple controls: tap to choose left or right. A run takes just a few minutes - Hold the mirror to look behind you, drag to look around - Carefully built sound: rain, engine, and the echo inside tunnels - Best record for each course - English and Japanese - Portrait or full-width display ■ CONTROLS - Tap the left or right side of the screen: choose left / right at a fork - Hold the rear-view mirror: zoom in and look - Drag across the screen: look around - Top-right button: pause Best played with headphones. With the lights off.Read more
