About

TunaWars Lite — Wars of the Ancient World A turn-based strategy game of ancient warfare built on one idea: you do not command your armies. You send them orders, and the orders take time to arrive. TunaWars Lite is the free edition of TunaWars: the Classical world with two peoples, on small and classic-sized maps, played solo against the AI. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account. COMMAND AT A DISTANCE A march order to a frontier host rides out by courier and takes effect when it arrives — two turns later, three if the roads are poor. Until then that army does what you last told it. News comes back the same way: every report carries the season it was seen, and a distant host silent too long may already be gone. Your capital is wherever your ruler stands. Take a city with the ruler inside and you capture the ruler. THE CHRONICLE OF YOUR REIGN A chronicler writes your reign as you play — not a log but a book, set down as the couriers brought it. What the couriers have not brought, the book does not record. An order of battle for every engagement, and a gazetteer of the peoples you met and what is rumoured of their rulers. Read it cover to cover, or export it. EVERY BATTLE DRAWS ITSELF On land or at sea, each engagement is drawn phase by phase — the deployment, the clash, the rout and the pursuit — with the ships and spoils it left behind. A COURT TO RUN THE REALM Give your officers standing instructions and they act every turn: a steward who grows your cities, a quartermaster who buys food into the stores, levies who garrison an undefended city — each sparing the reserve you set. Ask the strategos for counsel and he proposes the season's orders; you choose which to send. GODS, ENVOYS AND GRAIN Make an offering to the gods: no gift compels them, but a richer one buys kinder odds. Warm a foreign power with a gift, sue for a truce, or break a pact you no longer keep — each ruler answers according to how they regard you, and their court tells you so in its own voice. Convoys carry cattle, fish and grain to market, and an unescorted convoy is a target. AN ENEMY AS BLIND AS YOU ARE The AI plays the game you play. It sees only what its own units have seen, it estimates a garrison it has not scouted, and its orders ride the same slow couriers yours do. WHAT LITE INCLUDES - The Classical world: Hellenic city-states and the tribes of the north - Random worlds in Small and Classic sizes, and a scripted tutorial island - A turn limit of your choosing, or none - Solo play against the AI THE FULL GAME TunaWars adds all thirteen Classical peoples, a second age — the Late Bronze Age — ten historical wars, larger worlds, and play against others in Hot Seat or Game Center.Read more
