About

Almost every expensive caravan mistake is something ordinary that somebody knew perfectly well and simply did not do that morning. The step left down. The antenna left up. The jockey wheel still wound down. The gas left on at the servo. Caravan Checklist gives you the list — in the order you walk around the van — and puts it back to clean the moment you finish, ready for the next trip. CHECKLISTS THAT REPEAT Twelve lists to start with, written for an Australian van and fully editable: • Hitching Up — coupling, chains, breakaway, plugs, weight distribution • Before You Tow: Outside — step, antenna, awning, hatches, gas, tyres, lights • Before You Tow: Inside — fridge, latches, loose items, roof hatches, pumps • The Night Before — documents, weights, water, gas, fridge, route and height • Rest Stop — the two-minute walk-around at a servo • Arrival & Setup — levelling, chocking, unhitching, power, water, awning • Packing Up — the reverse of setup, in the order that stops things being left • Into Storage and Out of Storage • Free Camping — power, water, waste and self-sufficiency • Weights & Compliance — Tare, ATM, GTM, ball mass, GVM, GCM • Safety & Emergency — extinguisher, alarms, breakaway, spare, recovery gear Tap a line to tick it. Swipe one way for "not applicable", the other to leave a note. Tap the info button and the line tells you why it is there. Items that can hurt you are marked critical, and the app names the outstanding ones before it lets you finish. Finish a run and it resets. The completed run goes to the logbook with the date, the kilometres and anything you noted. SERVICING THAT COMES TO YOU A schedule of service items with realistic intervals — wheel bearings, brake magnets, gas leak tests, suspension bolts, roof sealant, anode rods, water sanitising, cylinder test dates, and tyres that age out long before they wear out. • By date, by distance, or both — "12 months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first", worked out properly • Sorted by what bites first, not by which part of the van it is on • Reminders before something falls due, at a notice period you choose • Every interval editable, because corrugations are not highway kilometres • Full history per item: date, kilometres, who did it, what it cost A LOGBOOK WORTH HANDING OVER Every completed check and every service in one timeline. Honest about what was missed — a run finished with three items undone records three items undone, and names them. Share the whole thing as plain text for an insurer, a workshop, or a buyer. YOUR VAN'S NUMBERS Tare, ATM, GTM and tow ball mass beside your vehicle's GVM, GCM, towing capacity and ball limit, with the arithmetic done. It works out your payload and ball mass as a percentage of ATM, and says so when the numbers cannot all be true at once. Plus van height, tyre pressures and age, and the dates that creep up — rego, insurance and gas cylinder tests. BUILT FOR THE WAY IT IS USED The screen stays awake while you walk around the van, and the tick target is big enough for cold hands. Home screen widgets show the next service due and any part-finished checks. Siri will tell you what is due without opening anything. Full VoiceOver and Dynamic Type. ON EVERY DEVICE YOU USE No account, no server of ours. Signed in to iCloud, your checklists, service history and van details stay in step across iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud — nobody else can see them, and neither can we. Turn iCloud off and it carries on, on that device alone. TRAVELLING TOGETHER Two of you in one van, each on your own Apple Account? Pair your phones once with a six-digit code and share the same lists, ticks and service history. The phones talk straight to each other over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so it works at a free camp with no signal. The built-in content is general guidance for a typical Australian caravan. It is not a substitute for your van's handbook, and gas and brake work must be carried out by a licensed person.Read more

Travelling Together: share your lists, your ticks and the service history with the person travelling with you, even though they sign in with their own Apple Account. Pair once with a six-digit code and it is automatic after that. The two phones talk straight to each other over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so it works at a free camp with no signal. Tick an item and it appears on the other phone while you are still standing next to it. Settings says plainly whether the two phones are in touch right now, because they only talk while both apps are open.
