Anyone who wants to show their work needs two photos that line up. That is exactly where most before-and-after pictures fail: weeks later you are standing a metre further left, and no amount of editing brings that back. Werkschau solves it at the moment you take the photo. For the after photo, the old picture sits semi-transparent in the viewfinder. You see at once where you need to stand, step to the side until the window edge lines up, and take the shot. THE VIEWFINDER • The before photo shows through over the camera preview, opacity freely adjustable • One tap hides it briefly when you want to see the bare picture • The app switches to the same lens as for the first photo. A different lens makes alignment practically impossible. • A level compares how you hold the device with how you held it back then and turns green when pitch and roll match • A rough coverage indicator tells you whether you are standing well. No percentage: that would suggest a precision that does not exist. AFTERWARDS • Alignment runs automatically. If it does not take, you align by hand, with shift, rotate and scale, and switch between the two results. • A six-second wipe video, clean endless loop, in 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 • You can also wipe directly in the app, with your finger or the slider • A job holds any number of comparisons. Kitchen, bathroom and facade belong to the same customer and each gets its own pair of photos. • A combined video strings all comparisons together • A PDF report: the comparisons side by side, with date and time taken, customer in the header. For the handover or as an attachment to the invoice. YOUR PHOTOS STAY WITH YOU Werkschau does not go online. No account, no cloud, no analytics. The pictures live in the app's storage and only go where you explicitly send them.
