Striide: Money Made Clear

Striide is a budgeting app for adults who want their money to feel clear and calm. It was designed with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in mind, and it suits anyone who prefers plain words and one decision at a time. There is no account to create, no bank to connect, and no password to hand over. You enter what you have, and Stride does the arithmetic. SAFE TO SPEND The home screen answers one question: what is left after the things you marked as important are set aside. Bills, buckets and goals you protect come out first, so the number you see is the number you can use. CAN I BUY THIS? Type a price and Stride tells you whether it fits your plan today and what it would leave behind. Not sure? Save it to think about and check again later. BUCKETS, BILLS AND GOALS Put money into buckets for food, getting around, or fun. Add bills with the day they are due. Save towards goals. Striide keeps the totals straight and says so plainly when a plan no longer adds up. MONEY UNTIL NEXT TIME See what is coming in and when, how many days until then, and what is left for each day in between. WHILE YOU SHOP Start a shopping trip and add things as you go, so you know where you stand before the checkout. Quick add takes a whole entry in one line, like "coffee 4.50". You can scan a receipt with the camera: the words are read on your phone, and the photo is not kept. LEARN AS YOU GO Short lessons in plain language about needs and wants, bills, saving, and spotting a scam. Practise a skill and see how you are getting on. THREE WAYS TO SEE IT Simple shows the least. Guided adds plain-language explanations. Standard shows more detail. Switch whenever you like: only how much is shown changes, never the numbers. MADE TO WORK WITH ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY Amounts are spoken with the currency named in words, so a screen reader does not skip a symbol. Text grows with the Larger Text setting. Buttons and rows are big. Nothing depends on colour alone, and no action needs a swipe or a long press. Tap "Read my money" for a spoken summary, which never starts on its own. ANY CURRENCY Striide uses your phone's currency, with the right number of decimal places for it, and you can change it in Settings. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS Ask "How much can I spend in Stride?" or "When's my next money in Striide?" TRUSTED PEOPLE Add family or a support worker and note what you would ask them for help with. Nothing is sent to anyone automatically, and nobody receives your information in the background. Sharing happens only when you tap a share button and see exactly what is being sent. YOUR MONEY STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Striide has no account system, no server of its own, and no third-party services built in. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. You can save a copy of your data yourself, and "Delete all my data" removes everything Stride saved on this phone. Stride is a budgeting and learning tool. It is not a bank, lender, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit counselor, benefits agency, or government service. Stride does not hold or move your money. Everything it shows is based on the amounts and dates you enter, so check your real accounts before making important money decisions.
