Faraday: Therapy Notes

Faraday drafts your progress notes from the session itself — and never sends a word of it anywhere. Most AI scribes are an interface. Behind them, the session audio goes to a transcription company, the transcript goes to an AI company, and the note comes back through an EHR. Three or four vendors touch the hour your client spent telling you something they have told no one else. Faraday touches none. Recording, transcription and note drafting all run on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech and language models. There is no account, no server, and no third party that receives protected health information — which is why there is no business associate agreement for you to review. It sometimes mistakes who was speaking and cannot tell when it has, so it asks you to confirm before attributing anything to your client. It leaves a section empty rather than filling it with something plausible, and it discards any statement it cannot trace to the recording. Read every draft before it becomes a record. ALSO ON MAC Faraday runs on the Mac too, where it can record a video session — your microphone and the call's audio captured separately, so it always knows which of you spoke. One subscription covers both: buy it on either and it works on the other, because the App Store tells each device what you own. Nothing about that goes through us.
