Impound Portal is the counter app for impound yards. Built for lots that store and release vehicles without running a towing operation, it handles intake, storage charges, payments, and releases from one screen — with no dispatch, driver, or towing features to work around. INTAKE IN SECONDS Scan a plate or VIN with the camera or type it in. Set the impound type, jurisdiction, and any police hold. The storage clock starts the moment the vehicle is logged. STORAGE THAT ADDS UP CORRECTLY Every vehicle carries a live balance calculated from your yard's rates — storage by the hour, half day, or day, plus tow-in, gate, admin, and after-hours fees. Set your rates once and every quote follows them. TAKE PAYMENT AT THE COUNTER Accept cash and record it. Run a card and the charge goes straight to your yard's own Stripe account. Either way the clock stops, the balance clears, and the vehicle is marked released. CUSTOMERS WHO PAID IN THE APP When a customer pays through the TowFi app, they arrive with a 9-digit redeem number. Enter it or scan their QR code and the release is confirmed on the spot — no cash box, no second charge. POLICE HOLDS Payment is recorded, but the vehicle stays put until the release paperwork is in hand. The app keeps the two steps separate so nothing leaves early. YARD LEDGER AND HISTORY See everything on the lot at a glance. Search by plate, VIN, or vehicle. Review released vehicles, how each was paid, and what was collected. Send unclaimed vehicles to auction from the same screen. EARNINGS Track what your yard has collected by cash, card, and app payment, with payouts landing in your bank through Stripe. STAFF Owners can invite attendants with a code. Attendants take payments and process releases without access to account settings or payouts. SECURE SIGN-IN Face ID and Touch ID supported.
