Pagoda: Mahjong Roguelite

Pagoda is mahjong solitaire built as a roguelite. The tile game you already know, with a scoring engine that compounds — and bosses that bend the rules against you. THE CLIMB Nine boards stand between you and the win, each with a score target higher than the last. Clear the target and you climb. Fall short and the run is over. Every third board is a boss with a rule of its own: a mult that starts halved, tiles that stay face-down until they come free, a tray sealed shut so no reshuffle can save you. THE SCORING Every matched pair scores its chips times your mult — and every pair you take raises the mult for the rest of the board. The chain never breaks on an ordinary move; it only climbs. Winds and dragons pay more than numbered tiles, flowers and seasons most of all. THE PEDDLER Clear a board, earn coins, spend them between boards. Twenty-seven relics rewrite the math: more chips on a suit, a steeper chain, another reshuffle in the tray, a hint button, coins on every clear. You can hold six, and sell any of them back. BOARDS THAT GROW Six layouts, from the twenty-two tiles of The Gate to the ninety-eight of The Turtle. Every board is generated solvable — and when it locks up, a reshuffle re-deals the remaining tiles into an arrangement that can still be cleared. No dead runs from a bad shuffle. FIVE PATHS The Pilgrim takes no advantage and no handicap. The Merchant opens with a heavy purse but one fewer reshuffle. The Monk trades two relic slots for a spare tray and a steadier hand. The Lantern-Bearer starts with the Red Lantern lit and pays for it in steeper targets. The Fox begins holding two relics, with no undos at all.
