About
An offline strategy game about running a deep-space survey programme. There is a fleet, a catalogue of worlds, and a model that tells you the truth about both — and when the flight gets hard, you take the controls yourself. FLY THE HARD CALLS BY HAND Mid-flight the helm raises calls with real stakes printed on them: energy, data, alloy, and the exact incident risk. The boldest answers are piloted, not picked. Steer the formation through a drifting debris field with your finger. Ride a gas giant's mass well and release inside the lit slingshot window. Hold the survey reticle on a signal drifting across a planet's disc. Every board grades your flying from 0 to 100 percent, and precision scales the payoff while shrinking the risk. Prefer not to steer? An auto-pilot key flies any manoeuvre at a steady grade. WIN IT OR LOSE IT Every expedition carries a delivery contract computed from its own forecast. Bring enough survey data home and the mission is accomplished. Fall short — or lose every hull below the flight floor and get towed back — and it is failed. Victories build a streak and raise your command rating; defeats reset the streak and pull it down. The debrief shows the standing, the mission score and exactly why. EVERY TARGET IS A SET OF MEASUREMENTS Gravity, radiation, temperature, atmosphere, orbital distance and science value. The chart ranks each world by a difficulty computed from all of them, and the dominant stress is named outright, so you can see what a target will do to your ships before you commit. EVERY HULL IS A COMPROMISE Range, hull integrity, sensors, shielding and cargo hold. Raising one raises mass or reactor draw somewhere else. Upgrade points move freely between ships, so the same hull can be re-specialised for a different target instead of being retired. ROLES CHANGE THE WHOLE FORMATION The Pathfinder's drive caps the route. The Surveyor's sensors set scan quality. The Guardian absorbs environmental damage for everyone else. The Carrier's hold caps how much data comes home. Changing one ship's role changes the entire forecast. THE ROUTE IS HALF THE DECISION A direct burn is cheap and returns nothing extra. A radiation belt is rich and expensive. A relay buoy gives energy back. Reorder the legs and the same fleet flies a different mission — and meets different calls on the way. THEN READ WHAT IT COST The debrief sets what came back against what preparation promised: data delivered, energy spent, science banked, anomalies recorded with the conditions that produced them, damage taken, and every in-flight decision with how it played out. RESEARCH CHANGES THE MODEL Sixteen modules across propulsion, instruments, protection and logistics, each altering a specific term of the simulation. Fit them into a hull's bays and the forecast for every future mission changes. ALSO INCLUDED - A star chart you handle directly: pinch, pan, tap - Six star systems and twenty-two worlds - A dockyard for repairs, fabrication and new hulls - An archive of surveyed worlds and their anomalies - Analysis charts over your own completed expeditions - A doctrine library that saves formations and routes - Eighteen commendations, a rank track and a win/loss service record - Exportable mission cards - Adjustable risk model and simulation paceRead more
An offline strategy game about running a deep-space survey programme. There is a fleet, a catalogue of worlds, and a model that tells you the truth about both — and when the flight gets hard, you take the controls yourself.
FLY THE HARD CALLS BY HAND
Mid-flight the helm raises calls with real stakes printed on them: energy, data, alloy, and the exact incident risk.
WIN IT OR LOSE IT
Every expedition carries a delivery contract computed from its own forecast. Bring enough survey data home and the mission is accomplished. Fall short — or lose every hull below the flight floor and get towed back — and it is failed. Victories build a streak and raise your command rating; defeats reset the streak and pull it down. The debrief shows the standing, the mission score and exactly why.
EVERY TARGET IS A SET OF MEASUREMENTS
Gravity, radiation, temperature, atmosphere, orbital distance and science value. The chart ranks each world by a difficulty computed from all of them, and the dominant stress is named outright, so you can see what a target will do to your ships before you commit.
EVERY HULL IS A COMPROMISE
Range, hull integrity, sensors, shielding and cargo hold. Raising one raises mass or reactor draw somewhere else. Upgrade points move freely between ships, so the same hull can be re-specialised for a different target instead of being retired.
ROLES CHANGE THE WHOLE FORMATION
The Pathfinder's drive caps the route. The Surveyor's sensors set scan quality. The Guardian absorbs environmental damage for everyone else. The Carrier's hold caps how much data comes home. Changing one ship's role changes the entire forecast.
THE ROUTE IS HALF THE DECISION
A direct burn is cheap and returns nothing extra. A radiation belt is rich and expensive. A relay buoy gives energy back. Reorder the legs and the same fleet flies a different mission — and meets different calls on the way.
THEN READ WHAT IT COST
The debrief sets what came back against what preparation promised: data delivered, energy spent, science banked, anomalies recorded with the conditions that produced them, damage taken, and every in-flight decision with how it played out.
RESEARCH CHANGES THE MODEL
Sixteen modules across propulsion, instruments, protection and logistics, each altering a specific term of the simulation. Fit them into a hull's bays and the forecast for every future mission changes.
