Findory Arithmetic Being good at arithmetic involves more than getting the right answer. Children need secure number facts, a strong sense of how numbers relate to one another and the flexibility to choose efficient ways to calculate. Findory Arithmetic gives children short, carefully structured opportunities to build these foundations across ten areas of arithmetic, with content carefully matched to Years 3–6 and designed to fit comfortably into family life. Building flexible mathematical thinking Each Arithmetic Pack contains twelve carefully sequenced questions that move from recalling useful knowledge into calculation, related facts, missing numbers, inverse operations, comparison, estimation and checking whether an answer is reasonable. Questions encourage children to use what they already know. A secure fact can unlock another calculation, an inverse can help find a missing number and estimation can help decide whether an answer makes sense. Where a particular mental strategy is genuinely useful, children are encouraged to recognise and use it. Every answer includes an explanation of the mathematical thinking involved, while carefully chosen wrong answers reflect common misconceptions and help make mistakes useful. Ten areas to explore Children practise addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, number and place value, factors and multiples, and mixed arithmetic, with content introduced when it is appropriate for their year level. Daily Quest provides short, varied practice, while Arithmetic Safari lets children explore a chosen area and Lightning Round offers an optional sixty seconds of quick facts, number bonds and equivalences. Some modes are designed especially for learning together. Arithmetic Duel offers pass-and-play practice with a grown-up, with questions adjusted to keep things interesting for both players. Quiz Master lets you read the questions while your child answers aloud, making mental maths easy to practise together without needing to write anything down. Children can also build a gem for each arithmetic area by answering questions successfully across five different days, encouraging useful revisiting over time. A clear picture for parents Parent Corner shows progress, accuracy across different areas and where a little more practice may help. Parents can choose the working year level and open up material from the year above when their child is ready.
