Notires helps you stop wasting food by tracking what’s in your fridge and when it expires. Point your camera at a package label (or pick a photo) and on-device OCR reads the name and expiry date — free, offline, and private. Save items with photos, get reminders before they go bad, and optionally add calendar alarms. Keep your kitchen inventory clear, eat what you buy, and throw less away. No login required. Camera access is optional and is requested only when the user opens Scan, via the standard iOS system prompt. If the user taps Don’t Allow, the app no longer re-requests camera permission and no longer redirects the user to Settings. The user can continue without the camera by choosing a photo from the library or adding the item manually. To verify: open Scan, tap Don’t Allow on the camera prompt, and confirm that the app does not open Settings. Library and manual add remain available.
