Vision Sudoku

Vision Sudoku turns the puzzle in your newspaper or puzzle book into one you can solve on your phone — and, when you get stuck, explains the next move instead of just giving you the answer. POINT AND SCAN Photograph a sudoku from a book, a newspaper, or a screen. The grid is found automatically, even from an angle, and the digits are read for you. If the grid isn't picked up correctly, you can set the four corners by hand and try again. Every number is editable, so a misread is a tap to fix. GET UNSTUCK, NOT SPOON-FED Ask for a hint and you get the technique by name — Hidden Single, Naked Pair, X-Wing, XY-Chain — the cell it applies to, and the reasoning colour-coded on the grid: the move, the cells that force it, and the house it works in. Apply one move, or keep tapping to walk the whole puzzle a step at a time.
