LockVideo uses Apple's built-in "Now Playing" system — the same feature behind Live Photos and music artwork on the lock screen — to show an animated preview of a video you choose while it plays in the background, with its own real audio. Important: LockVideo does not replace, change, or take over your iPhone's wallpaper. Apple does not offer a public API for that, and no app can. What you see is the system's own animated "Now Playing" artwork, tied to real audio playback — the same mechanism used for Live Photos, just applied to your own video. HOW TO USE 1. Pick any video — from Photos, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. 2. Tap "Activate on lock screen." Your video's audio starts playing (you can mute it, but playback continues in the background). 3. Lock your iPhone. On the lock screen, tap the artwork once to make it animate, exactly like a Live Photo. It works entirely within Apple's public Now Playing / media-artwork APIs (MPMediaItemAnimatedArtwork, iOS 26+), the same mechanism apps like Music and Podcasts use to show artwork on the lock screen — just applied to a video you choose.
