About
Kindling: Last Fire is a card-driven survival roguelike deckbuilder. Draw a hand of survival cards each dawn, manage scarce resources, and keep your fire lit through a 30-day winter. Premium, offline, single-player — no ads, no accounts, no network required. DRAW CARDS. MAKE HARD CALLS. DON'T DIE. Every dawn you draw a hand of action cards — gather wood, hunt, forage, build, trap, rest, and more. Each card costs action points and shifts your resources: wood, food, fire, warmth, health. This is turn-based strategy at its most personal: every play is a choice, every choice has weight, and the cold doesn't care. Spend poorly and night will take you. BOSS FIGHTS EVERY FIVE DAYS. Forge weapons, craft armor, build structures, and earn RPG perks between encounters to stand a chance. Boss battles escalate from wolf packs and raiders to a frost bear, the Wendigo, blizzard wraiths, the Winter King, and beyond — into the Ashen Widow, the Hollow Choir, the Unkindled, and the Nameless. Sixteen boss variants. Two phase-two forms. One fire. EIGHT SURVIVAL CAMPAIGNS, EACH WITH ITS OWN RULES: • First Light — the vanilla 30-day campaign • The Long Dark — slower, bleaker, less forgiving • Bone Winter — famine-biased • Whiteout — blizzards eat your stores • Lost Child — protect a ward who suffers first • Endless — see how far you can push it • The Nameless Year — fifty days, deep cold, the dark remembers your name • Proving Grounds — eight real-time skill minigames woven into the dusk STRANGERS AT THE FIRE. From day 8 on, travelers arrive out of the dark — a wounded scout, a deserter, a wolf-kin outcast, a dying woman with a story. Admit them, share what you have, or send them away. Every choice plants a seed: scouts return with maps days later, the soldier you fed talks raiders down, the wolf-kin you turned away comes back at the head of the pack. Branching narrative with real consequences. RUN MODIFIERS stack voluntarily for up to +170% rewards if you dare. META PROGRESSION via the Hearth: spend Tinder earned across runs on permanent stat bumps, new starting archetypes, cosmetic card backs, and camp themes. Roguelite progression that respects your time. WHAT'S INSIDE: • 165 unique survival cards across 9 tiers • Deep deckbuilding — pick your starting hand, unlock new cards each run • 16 boss variants with distinct mechanics • 10 post-boss perks + 7 permanent Hearth upgrades • 46 achievements • 12 forgeable weapons, armor, and charms + 13 forge upgrades • 5 unlockable starter archetypes • Traveler arcs with multi-day consequence trees • Dusk events, mid-day story beats, scripted narrative arcs days 1–30 • Procedural painterly card art • Synthesized ambient score and boss music PREMIUM INDIE, THE WAY IT USED TO BE. No ads. No in-app purchases. No accounts. No network required. Play this single-player roguelike entirely offline. Buy it once, own it forever. Built for every screen: one-thumb portrait controls on a phone, and a full-width layout on iPad that uses the whole display. Runs last 20–45 minutes, and dawn checkpoint saves let you close the app any time and pick up right where you left off.
