About
Snapimal turns the animals you meet into a collection. Photograph a cat on a wall, a dog at the park, a fox at dusk — Snapimal lifts the animal out of the photo and turns it into a trading card. Name it. Keep it. And when you run into that same animal again, Snapimal recognises it and adds the new photo to the card it already has. Not the same breed. The same animal. A COLLECTION OF INDIVIDUALS Every card is one specific creature. The tabby who sleeps on the bodega crate is a different card from every other tabby in the world. Over time you end up with a shelf of faces you actually know — the neighbour's dog, the pigeon who runs the fountain, the fox you've seen exactly twice. BONDS ARE BUILT OVER TIME, NOT IN ONE AFTERNOON Photos taken in the same place within a couple of hours count as one meeting, so forty shots of the same cat on the same sofa is a lovely photo set and one meeting's worth of progress. Every bond stage also needs a minimum number of separate days. Time is the one thing you can't rush, which is what makes a Kindred-level card mean something. Come back after a long gap and you'll get a reunion bonus. Progress never decays. A MAP OF EVERYWHERE YOU'VE MET Every capture is pinned where it happened, with the animal's own face as the pin. Gold rings mark first meetings. Over a year it becomes a genuine record of where you've been and who you met there. A FIELD GUIDE Alongside your individual friends, a species guide fills in as you go — cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, rabbits, foxes, deer, horses, reptiles. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Snapimal has no accounts, no servers and no networking code whatsoever. Photos, locations and the recognition data never leave your device. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to leak. HOW THE RECOGNITION WORKS Snapimal finds the animal's head, fingerprints it on-device, and compares it against every previous photo of every candidate — weighted by how close you are to that animal's usual haunts, and gated by species. It never merges anything silently: it shows you what it found and what it matched on, and you always have the final say. Every answer you give makes the next guess better. A note on wildlife: Snapimal rewards the photograph, never the approach. There are no points for getting closer, touching, or feeding. Please give wild animals room.Read more

A COLLECTION OF INDIVIDUALS
Every card is one specific creature. The tabby who sleeps on the bodega crate is a different card from every other tabby in the world. Over time you end up with a shelf of faces you actually know — the neighbour's dog, the pigeon who runs the fountain, the fox you've seen exactly twice.
