Win treasures cheap and cash them in for a fortune. A night auction game against eight rival bidders. One curious lot after another comes up to the rostrum of a lamplit auction hall. You never know what a lot is really worth until the hammer falls and the certificate opens. Your clues are your rivals' faces and the morning paper. HOW IT PLAYS - Five lots a day. When the clock runs out, the highest bid wins - At the end of the day, every lot you won is cashed in at its appraised value; the difference from what you paid is your profit - Your cash carries over from day to day. Your score is your total profit over five days - At the end of each day, you can buy one of three cards that work only tomorrow - Lose money on a day, and you can watch an ad to replay that day with new lots, once per run - Your scores are kept in Rankings on your device READING THE ROOM - Eight rival bidders, each with favourite and least favourite kinds of lot - Rivals start to sweat as the price nears their limit. +$100, +$1,000 and +$10,000 each get a different reaction - If the rival bidder who knows this kind of lot best stays away, it may be a fake - Each morning's newspaper stories move that day's sale. How they move it is printed under each story - The last seven days of sales stay in your Notes. Working out the rival bidders is up to you DAILY SALE - Once a day, one night with the same five lots on every device. Hidden among them is the day's masterpiece COLLECT - Every lot you ever win joins your Collection: 120 in all, in 30 sets of four.
