SELECT AND READ Long-press a word to select it, adjust the selection handles, then choose Dictionary. Expand to the containing sentence or discuss its passage. Ordinary taps keep you reading. Swipe right from the left edge to go back. Adjust main text and ruby sizes separately. Reading needs no account, advertising, or subscription. Optional public passage discussions use GitHub sign-in: read and compose inside Bunko, with secure persistent login and a separate Sign out control. Comments are public under your GitHub identity; private notes and unpublished drafts stay on your device. Book requests open GitHub. Books and dictionary packs download from the public bunko-books repository. Study notes and generated renderings can contain errors; source and rights records accompany the editions. Private reading companion: upload PDF, Word, Markdown, text or TeX files; find open papers; and read original equations, figures and tables in a flowing mobile layout. Ask for explanations or translations. Documents and conversations remain private to your account and can be deleted in the app. Optional cloud processing uses Mathpix and DeepSeek, with a first-use disclosure. Files up to 20 MB and PDFs up to 30 pages; service allowances apply. Apple Watch companion: send a text excerpt from the current paragraph on your paired iPhone.
