The one-time purchase now works. The store price shows on the button, and Restore purchases brings it back after a reinstall. On iPhone the purchase adds a backup of your notebook in iCloud on your Apple ID, along with three notebook colors. Turning backup on merges an earlier backup instead of writing over it. If the App Store cannot be reached, the purchase sheet says so instead of waiting. Error messages are plain sentences, and the invite message includes the App Store link.
