Distance, elevation gain and elapsed time update as you go, and a marker appears each time you pass a whole mile. Pause at the overlook and the track shows the pause, instead of drawing a straight line across wherever you sat. EXPORTS AS GPX, NOT AS A SCREENSHOT Every track saves as a standard GPX file that opens in most popular mapping apps. Send one by email or AirDrop, or reach into the iOS Files app and take it yourself -- the tracks folder is right there. Play a saved recording back on the map at three speeds, check the position accuracy you were getting, or delete what you no longer need. NOTHING TO SIGN UP FOR No account, no sign-in, no subscription. No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising. No third-party SDKs, and no network code at all. Your tracks stay on your iPhone until you choose to send them somewhere. There is no server here to send them to. SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE, IN YOUR UNITS English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Norwegian, in miles or kilometres -- and you can override either one inside the app, whatever the phone is set to. Nothing less. Nothing more. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Tracker enables background location only while a recording is running, and switches it off the moment you stop.
