You are on a line. So is half the world. On My Line answers a question most maps never ask: who else is on my latitude, and who is on my longitude? Open the app and it draws your parallel and your meridian across the globe, then lists every town, mountain, island, volcano, airport and landmark that stands on them — west and east of you, north and south of you, all the way around. The results are rarely what you expect. Aalsmeer turns out to share its parallel with Astana and Sakhalin. Follow its meridian south and you pass Lyon, Algiers and Lagos. WHAT YOU GET • Two feeds — Parallel and Meridian — read as a journey outward from where you stand, with the distance along the line and how far each place sits off it. • A map with both lines drawn true, your position, and every place marked. • The antipode: the exact point on the opposite side of the Earth, and the nearest land to it. • Any point on Earth, not just your own: search a place by name, type coordinates in any format, or press and hold the map. • Place cards with elevation, population, local time, bearing and great circle distance — plus a Wikipedia summary, a photograph and current weather when you want them. • Stretches of open ocean are shown honestly, as gaps: "3,115 km with nothing on the line." WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL Nearly 59,000 places live inside the app, not on a server. Searching, computing your lines and finding your antipode all work in airplane mode, on a train, or in the middle of nowhere — which is often exactly where the question occurs to you. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No third-party SDKs. Your location is used on your device to draw your lines and is never transmitted anywhere. Summaries, photos and weather are optional, and a single switch in Settings turns off every network request the app makes. Place data from GeoNames.
