CUC-S Kids: trace and sort

CUC-S Kids brings together two activities made for the hand that is still learning. PREESCRIPTURA — ages 3 to 6 The child traces paths, numbers and letters with a finger. First an animation shows where the stroke starts, which way it goes and where it ends; then the child does it. Stray off it and a sound says to start again. Get it right and the stroke is redrawn in green while an animal, a piece of chalk or a pencil travels along it. Four kinds of screen: paths over illustrated scenes, numbers, lowercase letters and capitals. And two modes: a single shape, or whole words in cursive on ruled lines, the letters joined in one go. In "My words" you can add the words of the house — the child's name, a sibling's, the cat's — and the child practises them in cursive. Up to eight words of eight letters, accents included. PICKERPICS — ages 4 and up Three games on a reel of pictures: line them all up by colour, by shape, or repeating a sequence. WHAT IT PRACTISES • Control of the shoulder, the arm and the fingers. • Body axis, left and right, and spatial orientation. • Hand-eye coordination and directionality. • Visual perception of shapes, colours, spaces and distances. • Attention and concentration. FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS A teaching tool for parents and teachers, useful alongside early-years schoolwork. The game-like format means children repeat the same activity many times without getting bored, taking the strokes in as they go.
