Kids World – Family Hub

Kids World brings five activities into one simple home screen, so a parent hands over the phone once and knows exactly what the child can reach. Four are for the child. The fifth, Reading Books, always asks the grown-up question first, because it leads to a bookshop. DRAWING WORKSHOP Freehand drawing, colouring pages, colour by number, tracing and magic brushes, with a gallery for finished pictures. SOUND MASTER A musical memory game with a friendly fox. Listen to a short melody, then play it back on the xylophone, piano, drums and other instruments. More than thirty levels, two memory modes and a sticker collection to fill. READING BOOKS (for grown-ups) A catalogue of children's e-books sorted by category, with covers to look through and a shelf of favourites. This activity always asks the parent question before it opens, because every book leads to a bookshop page in Safari - so it is a grown-up's errand, not a fifth thing for the child to tap. KIDS RADIO Children's radio stations from around the world, checked one by one, with a country and language filter and favourites. The radio keeps playing when the screen goes dark, so it works at bedtime too. VIDEOS A hand-picked list of children's channels, played inside the app in YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player. Only videos that the channel itself has marked "Made for Kids" are shown. There is no search, no comments and no way out of the app without a grown-up, and the player is limited so that anything it suggests comes only from the same channel. Parents get a daily time limit, a bedtime lock, a switch for every channel and a watch history of the last 30 days. FOR PARENTS - No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no in-app purchases. The app never asks a child for personal details. - What the app saves - drawings, favourites, game progress and the watch history parents can see - is kept on this device. We run no servers that hold personal data about you or your child. - To show its content the app does reach other services over the internet: videos play in YouTube's embedded player and their thumbnails come from Google, radio streams and station logos come from the stations, and book covers and pages come from the bookshop. Those services see the request and the device's internet address, as they would from any website. Our privacy policy names each one. - Every link that leaves the app sits behind a parent gate: a multiplication question a young child cannot answer. Reading Books is behind that same gate in full, because it leads to a bookshop. - A settings screen, behind the same gate, lets you lock any activity and choose the language for the games and books: English, Hebrew, Arabic, Spanish, French or Russian. The home screen itself is always in English. - Tip: to keep a small child inside the app, turn on Guided Access (Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access).
