You use Support-O — but really, you use it for them. Somebody who loves you has already thought about this. They have wondered how long it would be before anyone noticed if something happened, and they have decided not to say so, because saying it out loud sounds like fussing. That is what one button answers. HOW IT WORKS Each morning, at a time you choose, your phone says good morning by name. You tap one large button. That is the whole job. If you do not answer within the time you set, the people you chose receive a text message so they can check on you. Nothing else is required of you, ever. WHY IT IS DIFFERENT Your phone keeps its own alarms for two weeks at a time, so it goes on saying good morning even if you do not open the app. The check also happens on our server, not only on your phone. That matters: a phone that is switched off, flat or lost cannot raise the alarm about itself. So silence still results in your people being told. THE PEOPLE YOU CHOOSE You can add up to three people. Each one receives a text saying who added them and how to stop. Anyone can reply STOP at any time — and if they do, Support-O tells you, so you are never left believing somebody is watching out for you when they are not. Support-O sends no marketing. Ever. YOUR MEDICATIONS STAY ON YOUR PHONE Your medication list, your pill photographs, your exercises and your water goal never leave the handset. Our server holds only what it needs to text somebody if you do not answer: your first name, your time zone, the time you chose, and the contacts you entered. WHAT SUPPORT-O IS NOT Support-O is not a medical device, a medication service, a monitoring service or an emergency service. It is not a substitute for care, for medical advice, or for calling the emergency services. We cannot promise that any alert will be sent or that it will arrive — phones get switched off, batteries die and services fail. Do not build a safety plan that depends on it. The medication list is not for anyone who cannot manage their own medication — after a brain injury, or with dementia or another condition affecting memory or judgement. It repeats what was typed in.
