THE RULE, WITH ITS SOURCE For United Kingdom waters Fishlore carries the rules an angler actually needs: minimum size, closed season and daily bag limit, across the national sea rules and England's freshwater byelaws. Enter the length and Fishlore tells you whether the fish is inside or outside the rule, and exactly which condition it fails. Every rule shows the GOV.UK page it was read from and the date it was last checked, one tap away. Rules refresh in the background, so a change in the law never waits for an app update. YOUR CATCH LOG Log each fish as kept or released with its photo and its length. Fish you keep today count towards that species' daily bag limit automatically. The log lives on this iPhone — no account, no upload, no cloud. OUTSIDE THE UK Identification works anywhere in the world, weighted by which species are actually recorded in your region. Legal limits currently cover the United Kingdom only, and Fishlore says so plainly rather than showing you another country's law.
