Description
HamGrid shows your Maidenhead locator on a map: six characters for where you are, big enough to read at a glance.
A grid that follows your zoom
HamGrid draws the Maidenhead grid over the map and switches levels as you zoom: fields for a continent, squares for a country, subsquares for a town.
Move the map, read the locator
Drag the map and a crosshair appears. The locator now shows the point under the crosshair. It's a quick way to check the square of a summit you want to operate from, or of the station you're talking to.
Search by locator or place
Enter a full locator and the map jumps straight there. Enter just the start, like JO5, and all matching squares light up at once. You can also search for a town, a street or an airfield.
Made for the air
• The zero has a slash through it, so you can't mix up JO and J0
• Tap the locator to copy it for your log
• A UTC clock right next to the locator
• The accuracy of your fix in meters, so you know how much to trust the locator
• A dark design that is easy on the eyes at night
Widgets
Small and medium widgets show your locator, the UTC time and a map of where you are.
