Odd Spot — Find the Color Gap

Two tiles look the same color. One of them is not. That is the whole game. ■ Every answer makes it harder Get one right and the next gap is smaller. A gap never opens back up. You start somewhere obvious and end somewhere you can barely see. The board grows too — 4 tiles at first, 16 when you are deep. 3 mistakes and the run is over. There is no clock. How far down you got is your score. ■ One minute, and you choose the difficulty The other way to play. 60 seconds, and you pick the color gap you will play at before you start. You can pick anything down to the smallest gap you have ever told apart. A smaller gap is worth more per answer — but your hand slows down. Answers in a row raise your multiplier up to 3x; a miss drops it back to 1x and costs you 3 seconds. Play it safe and fast, or go narrow and hunt for one big streak. Half the game is decided before you start. ■ It does not just give you a number At the end you see the smallest color difference you managed to tell apart, shown as the two actual colors, side by side. Every answer is saved, so nothing is lost wherever you stop. ■ If color is hard to see There is a Lightness mode. Hue never changes; only lightness does, so it plays the same however you see color.
