About
Cross the stream. The next stone is front-left, straight ahead, or front-right. Read it, tap that side with your thumb, and you hop. The stone you land on starts sinking the moment you touch it, so if you stop to think, you're in the water. Score is stones crossed. That's the whole rule. A run is about thirty seconds. Two or three while the bus is late, one more before bed. Stop and you sink Early stones sink lazily. Past sixty they get quick. Every twenty-five stones there's a wide rest stone that takes its time, and the rest stone is a fork: either side is stone, pick one. The sky moves from morning through noon and evening into night while you cross. It tells you why you fell The end screen names the stone you missed and what you read it as. Straight as left, or the wrong side of a fork. The Again button is up in under a second. We don't give you time to mourn. Coins on the stones buy characters Now and then a stone has a coin on it. Step on it, it's yours. Spend them on a duck, a turtle, a frog, a fox, a rabbit, a dokkaebi goblin, a jangseung guardian post, a Hahoe mask, a kid with a kite. The default is a pebble wearing headphones. A stone crossing stepping stones. Pass a hundred stones for the first time and you pick one free. Stop and you sink
Early stones sink lazily. Past sixty they get quick. Every twenty-five stones there's a wide rest stone that takes its time, and the rest stone is a fork: either side is stone, pick one. The sky moves from morning through noon and evening into night while you cross.
It tells you why you fell
The end screen names the stone you missed and what you read it as. Straight as left, or the wrong side of a fork. The Again button is up in under a second. We don't give you time to mourn.
Coins on the stones buy characters
Now and then a stone has a coin on it. One thumb, portrait
The only things to press are three zones at the bottom of the screen. Each character lands with its own pitch, and the pitch climbs as you go. Sound effects, stream noise and haptics switch off separately. Make a card of your run and share it.
