Erafolio: History Learning

Erafolio is a world history reading app for curious readers who want to understand what was happening in different places during the same period. Explore everyday life, trade, art and ideas through selected events from ancient societies to the twentieth century. The collection contains 480 events, including 120 longer stories, and 80 comparisons between regions. Read about Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and Oceania, with topics covering daily life, power and society, trade and travel, science and technology, and art and ideas. Choose a historical chapter, move through the available years, and browse events from a region or across the collection. Open an entry for its summary, key facts and sources, with longer stories offering more context. Each event keeps its own exact year, date range or approximate date. Turn the year wheel in Timeline to explore events around a selected year. Move between event cards, open a story that interests you, or filter by region and topic. Search the collection for a place, name or idea. Results show each event's date so you can keep its historical context in view. You can also search for an exact year; these results include precisely dated events and exclude approximate dates and ranges. Follow a "Meanwhile, in..." connection to explore a shared topic across two places. Read about similarities and differences, compare the dates, and open either original event. Each comparison explains whether the dates overlap or the connection belongs to a broader period, keeping shared themes separate from claims of direct influence. Check the bibliography for an event or comparison. References identify the publication or institution and the relevant passage. Open source links in an external browser or supported application when you want to read further. Save events and comparisons to build a collection you can return to. Mark longer stories as Read or Unread, and reopen your last story from Saved. Add a personal photo to an event using your camera or photo library. Keep a museum exhibit, landmark or book page alongside your reading, and find your attached photos in Saved. You can replace or remove an attachment whenever you like. Historical text and bibliographies are available offline. Bookmarks, reading status and personal photos are stored on your device. Opening publisher websites or using the Support Form requires an internet connection.
