In Focus answers two questions, and nothing else. What matters? One list of the threads you're carrying, in the order you decide. Not a score, not a due date — where you put it is how important it is. What can I do right now? The first next step of every thread you've focused, in one list you can work straight down, or one step at a time with nothing else on the screen. THREADS, NOT PROJECTS A thread is anything you're carrying that takes more than one step — move house, learn piano, the thing at work you keep half-thinking about. Half of them never finish, which is why they aren't called projects. Drag to reorder. Focus the few that matter this week and they pin to the top. Each thread has its next steps, and a Later list for the ideas that aren't ready. Only the next steps ever reach Focus. LOOSE ENDS This is the part other apps don't have. When you finish the last ready step of something you've focused, the thread drops into Loose Ends and the tab fills in, because a priority with no next step is a promise you've quietly stopped keeping. Each loose end shows what you last finished on it and when, so you know what comes next. Press return and the keyboard moves to the row below — a whole list cleared in one pass, or one at a time. WHERE YOU ARE Give a step a place — Home, Office, Errands — and Focus shows only what you can do there, or everywhere but there. Steps with no place can be done anywhere. An iOS Focus mode can set it for you, so when Work turns on, so does Office. In Focus never asks for your location. The one reminder In Focus has is its own: an optional daily, weekly or monthly nudge to review your priorities. Off until you turn it on. SIRI AND SPOTLIGHT On iOS 27, Siri runs the whole app: what's next, what's loose, add a step, tick one off. Threads and steps are in Spotlight. IF IT NEEDS A DATE, IT BELONGS IN CALENDAR Add to Calendar opens Apple's own event editor with the step as the title and a link back to the thread. The step stays where it is, and In Focus never asks for access to your calendar. FEWER TAPS THAN REMINDERS • Add a thread and its first step in two taps plus typing. • Add a next step to any thread from any list, without opening it. • Swipe to focus, complete, or push a step to the back of the queue. • Long-press any row for the same actions; VoiceOver gets them as custom actions. WHAT'S NOT IN IT No due dates on anything. No recurrence, tags, sub-tasks, streaks or scores. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, nothing sold. If it repeats — a habit, a routine, a checklist — it belongs in Redone, our separate app for what repeats. BUILT FOR IPHONE Liquid Glass throughout, no third-party code.
